Lexus still falls behind Benz and BMW

For many years Japan has been trying to compete with its competition like the German Automakers. One of Japan’s luxury divisions is Lexus, and two world known German automakers are Mercedes Benz and BMW. All three of these automakers have been competing for many years; Lexus is trying to take the lead but still trails behind. They all make superb luxury automobiles, Mercedes Benz’s top car is the S-Class, BMW has the 7-Series, and Lexus has the LS 450. All of theses cars come with different options which can make the price go up to $175,000. The most expensive is Mercedes following is BMW and the lowest priced is the Lexus.

Lexus has the same options, comfort, and handling for a cheaper price. So the question thatcomes to my mind and others is why spend the extra $30,000 to $50,000??

The reason people spend more money is for the prestige name of Mercedes Benz or BMW. A lot of people say “why buy the imitation, if I can get the real one”. Even though Lexus has a few more options than the BMW and Mercedes it is still struggling because people want the name of BMW and Mercedes
